A little about me

I have always been driven by music.  Since a young age, I surrounded myself with any and all types of music.

After high school, I moved to Lubbock Texas and went to Texas Tech University.  There I picked up a bass and started playing with other artists.  Shortly there after, I realized that I wanted to be able to record what I was playing, that is where my love for recording started.  With the purchase of my first tascam 4-track, I quickly became hooked on all that could be accomplished with recording.  As I finished up getting my business degree at Texas Tech, I decided that music was no longer going to be a hobby, it was going to be my career path.

I left Texas and moved to Arizona and attended the Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences.  Upon graduating, I moved to Los Angeles and got my first opportunity at Signet Sound (formerly Motown Hitsville) and studied at the feet of an incredible client list .  While at Signet, i got to work with industry heavy hitters such as Frank Wolf, Alan Sides, Ron Fair, Chris Lord-Alge, Tim Armstrong, Fergie, Keb Mo, and the late Ruth Brown.

After Signet closed its doors in December 2006, i began working for Bay 7 studios, where i had the opportunity to work with John Mayer, Marilyn Manson, Buckcherry, Creed, Daughtry, Flyleaf, Eddie Kramer, Yeah, Yeah, Yeahs, engineer Mike Plotnikoff and grammy nominated producer Howard Benson.

My next stop was as the Chief Engineer for almost 6 years at Firehouse Recording Studios in Pasadena.  During my time there I was fortunate enough to work on numerous worldwide Disney theme park attractions, as well as on the films: Whiplash, Manchester by the sea, Furious 7, Lion, Pee Wee's Big Holiday, among others.  I also worked on albums by Lalah Hathaway, Broken Bells, Pat Boone, Rumer, The Griswolds, as examples.

I continue to build my portfolio by working with any artists who make music for the love of it.
